So I've been keeping up with Battlefield: Bad Company for the last few days. I've been fascinated with the sheer amount of destruction they achieve with that engine. So I've set out to figure out how they accomplish it all, I've talked with a few industry artists and they think it's a series of destruction states and physics objects. So I've gone ahead and made a small series of objects that i think can do the trick, and going to do a little test run with it all at some point.

I'm thinking with the right mix of projected textures and destruction states, i might be able to accomplish the same level of destruction. 90%.
