The Diemoire

Took a small break from my fps to get this design out of my head.

Another update!  I've gotten quite a bit done this last week. I've completed the player inventory, I've wrapped up the weapon system, I have my Blaster and Shotgun working, and I modelled and textured a Shotgun.  Over all pretty good progress in my mind.  Oh and I started some super primitive AI, PROGRESSS!

My plan is to finish the rocket launcher and grenades this next week and get some door functionality.  While that's happening I'm hoping to wrap up the gun art and or the tileset art.  We'll see!

Tileset creations!

Primitive enemy ai shooting at the player.

I re purposed my old pick up asset pack to make new shotgun ammo packs.

Fps Update 2 !

Small update this week. I've got some time into the environment tileset.  I've still got a few assets to complete for it then I need to set up all of the collisions and make sure it works nicely with the game play I'm envisioning.  I've also got health and armor pick ups working and the shotgun shooting (very hacky but it works).  Next I think I'm going to work on the player inventory and picking up ammo, then on to some basic enemy AI!

Small Fps Update

Right now I'm just messing with some visual styles,  I'm really liking this dark desaturated look with pops of gold.  Not sure if it will stick.  As for this week I started to code the first weapon and grenades.  I'm hoping next week I'll have more time for actual coding and can really focus on getting a few of the weapons done and the player inventory!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted anything.  A lot has happened since my last post.  I got married to the most beautiful woman I know, we went on an amazing honeymoon, and moved into a new place!  So things are looking pretty awesome.  Before I left I wanted to start a unity game project, I had decided on a few things.

When I got back I wanted start on it right away but I needed some time to get things in order.  So  now I'm finally going to start it.  I've started some of the initial coding already, which is what I'll be doing when I'm at home.  During my lunch breaks I'll be working on the art that once again will get parsed into asset packs and put up on the unity asset store.

Since the code portion isn't anything to show yet here are some initial art style work in progress shots. I wanted to go with an easy art style that I could create quickly and had a cool feel to it.  I think I've nailed what I'm looking for but I won't really know until I have a full environment done. Enjoy.
